Breakfast at the Hotel; Morning check-out from the hotel and proceed to Bergen train station on your own (walking distance) to board train at 1143 Hrs and arrive Voss Station at 1256 Hrs, on arrival connect to the bus VY450 at 1315 Hrs and alight at Gudvangen E16 bus stop at 1403 Hrs, on arrival visit to explore the Viking village Njardarheimr in Gudvangen! You will experience the authentic life the Vikings used to live when they were not busy at sea. Later in the evening proceed to ferry terminal on your own to board Fjord Cruise Nærøyfjord at 1730 Hrs The vessel will begin its journey sailing through the idyllic Aurlandsfjord, before the boat continues through the narrow Nærøyfjord before arriving Gudvangen at the inner end. The trip takes around two hours (one way) and arrives at Gudvangen at 1930 Hrs, arrive at Flam, proceed to the Hotel on your own (walking distance from ferry terminal), check-in and overnight stay in Flam.

You will galavant along the main pedestrian street, Karl Johans Gate, just like Norwegians do on May 17th (Constitution Day); we’ll give a salute to the great Norwegian playwrights at the National Theatre; and admire the strength and might of the fortifications at Akershus Fortress (and also the fantastic view!). What else comes to mind when you think of Oslo? We’ll probably cover that too. We hit the sweet spots of Oslo on our Oslo City Walk, as the excitement crescendos to reveal the grand finale: the view of the Oslo Opera House. Appearing to majestically rise out of the fjord, the Opera House leads the way in an age of exciting new architecture. New buildings are popping up like autumn mushrooms, and creativity is booming in the city, from urban farming to the visual arts. Oslo is flourishing – you can feel the buzz of excitement in the air. Morning check-out from the Hotel and transfer to Oslo Airport to take assigned flight and arrive at Reykjavik Keflavik Airport. Iceland, a Nordic island nation, is defined by its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields, Massive glaciers are protected in Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull national parks. Most of the population lives in the capital, Reykjavik, which runs on geothermal power and is home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history. Upon your arrival at Keflavik airport you will be met and collect your rental car and proceed to the city of Reykjavik on your own, Check in at the hotel, afternoon, proceed for “Walking tour of Reykjavik City - A pleasant walk among Icelandic history, street arts, folklore and colorful dwellings; you will visit the city’s main landmarks such as the Parliament house, Hallgrimskirkja church, the Pond as well as other picturesque locations, lesser known to tourists.....and of course, we won’t miss the colorful works of art hidden around Reykjavik, one of the street art capitals of the World. Breakfast at the hotel; Today morning you can leave in the morning and head for the beautiful Thingvellir Þingvellir National Park, a unique place from a geological point of view and a place of great beauty. Research has shown that Thingvellir is a natural wonder on an international scale. The faults and fissures of the area are clear evidence of the rifting of the earth's crust. Thingvellir is also the most historical place in the country and a place of exceptional beauty. After exploring the area, drive across Lyngdalsheiði to the school centre Laugarvatn and further inland to the Great Geysir area. Explore the numerous hot springs and see the famous Great Geysir and Strokkur, a very active geyser that spouts every few minutes. The Geysir Service Centre offers a hotel, restaurant, a swimming pool, snack bar, souvenir shop, gas station, a geo-centre multimedia show, horse rental, quad bike tours, and a camping area. From here, drive to the majestic waterfall Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most beautiful waterfalls. Turn around at Gullfoss and head back on the same road as before a little further than Geysir. Take road number 35 and don't miss the pretty waterfall Faxi. Rafting on the Hvítá River is available during summer from Drumboddsstaðir, Continue to the Impressive volcanic crater Kerið a bit further, Head on the south coast towards Selfoss, Overnight at the hotel in Selfoss.

Breakfast at the hotel; this morning you can continue to the east heading for the Eyjafjöll district and stop at the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. The glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull are capping the mountains above. Hidden underneath the icecap of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier is Katla, one of Iceland's most dangerous volcanoes. During summer, snowmobiling is available on the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. Make a detour to the glacial tongue of Sólheimajökull, a part of the Mýrdalsjökull Ice field before continuing to the Dyrhólaey natural reserve and a nesting colony of numerous seabirds. Drive to Reynishverfi, with a beautiful coast, spectacular rock formations and thousands of nesting seabirds which nest in almost every crevice in summer. Continue to Vík, a small village on the black beach. Drive across the Mýrdalssandur floodplains and Eldhraun, the largest lava field ever to flow on Earth in historical time, and to the small village Kirkjubaejarklaustur. Fjaðrárgljúfur is a narrow and beautiful canyon a few km to the west from Kirkjubæjarklaustur, worth taking a look at. At Kirkjubæjarklaustur, see Kirkjugólfið (the Church Floor), a protected natural monument just east of the village. Kirkjugólfið is columnar basalt, shaped and eroded by water and wind, overnight at the hotel in Kirkjubæjarklaustur / Síða area.

Breakfast at the hotel; today proceed to Klaustur over Skeidarársandur, vast tracts of black sandy desert washed down by numerous torrential glacial rivers. Stop at Skaftafell national Park, an oasis wedged between glacier and sand. Its natural beauty is a result of unusually favourable weather conditions and the interaction of ice and fire. See the interesting Visitors Centre where you can learn the history of fire and ice in the region and a video of the volcanic eruption and the catastrophic flood in the area in 1996 can also be viewed. Beneath the Vatnajökull ice cap, towering above Skaftafell is Grímsvötn, one of Iceland’s most active volcanoes. An interesting hiking trail takes you to Svartifoss, one of Iceland's most picturesque waterfalls, framed in by beautiful basalt columns that surround it. In the Skaftafell area are many other interesting hiking trails. Continue to the great Jökulsarlón, the Glacial Lagoon where huge icebergs, sculptures of nature, float and grind together in the deep blue waters of the lagoon. An interesting cruise among the icebergs on the Lagoon is available in summer. From here, drive further east towards the Egilsstaðir, overnight at the hotel in the Egilsstaðir area.

Breakfast at the hotel; you will leave for Höfn and pass the colorful Lónsöræfi District, a mountainous wilderness ringed by extinct volcanoes and traversed by glacial rivers. Drive past towering mountains, and to the magnificent East Fjords, some now deserted. En route stop at the small fishing town Djúpivogur and at Stöðvarfjörður the Stone Collection of Petra is an interesting place to visit. Overnight at the hotel in Hofn area
